Becoming a "Block Captain" is Easy … Simply Keep Your Neighborhood
SAFER by Keeping Each Other INFORMED.
Speak with neighbors on your block and in your buildings while you are out walking with friends or dogs; out at local businesses, the markets or school.
WE ARE SAFER IN NUMBERS AND BY AWARENESS.
It really does not take any time at all and really gives you a great sense of purpose and accomplishment working forwards our common goals of living in a safe and unified neighborhood community.
Please contact me with any questions and about becoming a Block Captain or starting a Neighborhood Watch in your area.
It is important to have your neighbors involved too.
I do not need to emphasize how effective our Neighborhood Watch has become.
We are continuing to grow safer each and every day.
I will however take this opportunity to remind us ALL how much better things have gotten as a direct result of "our" collective neighborhood participation.
How wonderful it is to see less vandalism and disturbing graffiti, and to instead simply smile at each other in passing -- having a comforting sense of extra security knowing who IS in our neighborhood and that we DO watch out for each other!

The important thing to note besides safety and heightened alertness while driving through these areas is PARKING.
Parking restrictions are being strictly enforced so please be aware of the signs and street surroundings while in these areas.
Nobody wants a parking ticket. Be careful and enjoy the ride!

Thank you to so many wonderful neighbors and friends for spreading the word about Neighborhood Watch and for your proactive community participation!
It is imperative that we link the community together in safety for one another. We have reached many of our neighbors and they continue to express their thanks to us for our efforts but we have many, many more to meet, greet, and reach out to.
We must express our appreciation for our exceptional Senior Lead Officer, Juan Ceja and LAPD's Pacific Division for their unbridled support. Thank you for your tremendous efforts, patrol and responses to our neighborhood. Thank you for making our community more enjoyable by making it safer and helping us address and resolve our neighborhood's needs.
We sincerely thank Officer Arnold and the many other LAPD Officers that run unparrelled Police Academies for creating these tremendous learning experiences; 9-1-1's superior Dispatchers and inspiring Youth Cadets for their continued support; to Sergeant Kirby, SLO Thomas and all of Wilshire Division for hosting and supporting our Safety Preparedness efforts; and the many other treasured participants, friends and associates that have shared so much of their expertise with Evening of Community Neighborhood Watch Group and Community Safety NetworkTM.
